Privacy notice

Last updated: October 2026

This notice explains how May Ledger Payroll Services (“I”, run by Tom May) uses personal information when you visit this website or send an enquiry.

Who is responsible

Tom May, trading as May Ledger Payroll Services, is responsible for the information collected through this website. You can contact me at hello@mayledger.uk or on 07972 858635.

What I collect through the enquiry form

Please do not put payroll data or employee details in the form. If we work together we will agree a secure way to share that information.

How I use it

I use your details only to respond to your enquiry, discuss payroll services with you and, if you become a client, to set up and provide the service. I do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing. My lawful basis is my legitimate interest in replying to enquiries you have made, and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

Who else handles it

These providers handle your information only to deliver and store it on my behalf. I do not use any other third-party services on this site, so no tracking scripts, embedded videos or external fonts are loaded.

Analytics and cookies

This site does not use analytics, advertising cookies or any other tracking cookies. The server keeps ordinary technical access logs (for example, to spot abuse) and may use your IP address briefly to limit repeated form submissions.

How long I keep it

The private record of enquiries is kept for up to 12 months. Emails in my mailbox are kept only for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, to provide the service and meet my legal and record-keeping obligations. If you would like your enquiry deleted, just ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you, or object to how I use it. Email hello@mayledger.uk. If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
